New Restaurant in Downtown Blue Ridge, GA

Who Knew that Black Sheep Tasted so Good? Downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia has been able to build a reputation over the last decade or so of providing those who visit this quaint, Mayberry-esque town with some of the most delectable dining options in North Georgia.

From the 60’s era Trailer Drive-In that serves scratch-made biscuits daily and sits across the street from one of the last

Black Sheep Blue Ridge

drive-in movie theatres in the Southeast, to the Blue Ridge Brewery which brews its own craft beer every week, there is no shortage of scrumptious eats and yummy treats in the Trout Capital of Georgia. No matter whether you are a local or a visitor staying in one of the many Blue Ridge cabin rentals in the area, you’re bound to find something that will please your pallet.

New on the scene is the Black Sheep Restaurant, which is located in an historic house which was built by Colonel William Butt. Mr. Butt and his wife were prominent and beloved members of the Blue Ridge community, and entertained celebrities like Margaret Mitchell during their stay in the house.

But those days are now gone with the wind (pun intended) and Steven and Angela Oyer have turned what was once the first home to have indoor plumbing into a full-fledged restaurant that serves up everything from Asian tuna nachos to the mouth-wateringly mysterious pork belly of the day.

Each dish that the Black Sheep serves is expertly prepared by Chef Ron Farber, who graduated from the Culinary Arts of America and brings over 30 years of restaurant and catering experience into the kitchen. The ingredients and produce that the Black Sheep buys are always bought local if available, and their menu is always changing in order to provide the freshest, seasonal combinations for their customers.

For those who are planning a mountain getaway in the North Georgia Mountains, make sure to stop by The Black Sheep Restaurant after enjoying the outdoor activities of the area and for dinner, or sit for a spell on their stone patio or outdoor deck for a few drinks.

It’ll be a time that you never forget!
